Japans PM Shinzo Abe to Attend 2016 Olympic Closing Ceremony

Japans PM Shinzo Abe will be in Rio de Janeiro on 21st august to attend the closing ceremony of 2016 Olympics. This NEWS is confirmed by one of the japans government officials.

Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said that the Prime Minister’s visit to Rio will strengthen the relation between japan and Rio through sports and he also hopes that it will also give successful start to 2020 Olympics. He also said that PM will met the Japanese players who are participating in Olympics. We all know that japan is going to host the 2020 Olympics and Paralympics. The newly elected Gov. of Tokyo Yuriko Koike is also going to attend Olympic Closing ceremony for accepting the Flag of Olympics behalf of Next Host City Tokyo.


“We can expect that the prime minister’s attendance at the closing ceremony will strengthen the friendly relations between Japan and Brazil through sport, as well as lead toward the success of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics,” Yoshihide Suga said.
